What we have been doing.........

We have been running as a club since September 7th 2005 and have since that time grown from a club with 4 members to over 50 re-enactors with our membership card. We re-enact Romano / Celt, Medieval, Piracy and America Wild West by way of shows and living history displays. We try to be as authentic as humanly possible and keeping within the constraints of the 21st century. The members dictate what periods we have in our arsenal as its up to them to get the right clothing and weapons. Just recently some of the members wished to do Roman so, after a little research, the purchase of a couple of Lorica and numerous weapons we now have a small unit that can take on the greater amount of Celts in the club. This club is (and hopefully allways will) evolving into what can only be discribed as the livliest Re-enactment society about today!!
We are constantly on the lookout for new shows and events to attend, so if you are running an event and wish to have us there then please check the contacts page for details of how to get in touch.

2007 has been a huge year for us we got to go to Cosmeston Medieval village 3 times, Templecombe and Gloucester Cathedral. We have been invited to attend Tintagel, Caldicott Castle and Templecombe not forgetting the most important shows to us which are the school and village fetes for without those we would not be where we are today. 2008 is allready shaping up to be bigger than 2007, (allready getting shows for 2009), with our showlist getting fuller with every passing week.It will be posted here before the end of November 2007 and should be complete. Yes we will be very busy but then thats what this hobby is about, entertaining the public, for without them we just become history geeks and medieval fashion victims. So a big thank you to all the show organisers who invited us in 2007 and re-invited us for 2008 we look forward to seeing you out there. If you wish to join us in our hobby check the contacts page, if you are aged 13-130, we will endeavor to teach you how to fight safely with all manner of medieval weapons and show you how to dress as authentically as possible We accept all walks of life including families (my 5 yr old has been doing this since she was born) we even allow pets at our shows, well when the food ran out in those days dogs became very appetising. We even have our own ships cat. So if you fancy it give us a ring you never know you may even have more fun than the people watching!!
